CANCELED DUE TO SEVERE WEATHER - Sacred Music Concert in Lent - Stabat Mater
CANCELED DUE TO SEVERE WEATHER
The Guild of Sacred Music at Saint John’s Presents: A reflective concert of traditional works by Chiara Margarita Cozzolani and Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, performed by Jenny Ubel, Allyssa Anderson, and a chamber ensemble of the Twin Cities’ finest baroque instrumentalists, directed by Dr. Michael Thomas Asmus. Both Jenny and Allyssa are not new to SJB - they sing in the Mirandola Ensemble, which we’ve been privileged to host on a number of occasions at our Rorate Caeli Mass, Tenebrae Service during Holy Week, First Holy Communion Masses, and our annual Epiphany Sunday concert.
This will be a terrific way for us all to enter even more deeply into the Lenten season as we contemplate the Stabat Mater - that traditional hymn we all sing while walking the Stations of the Cross with our Lord during Lent.
Mark your calendars - Sunday, March 15 @ 3:00 pm - and join us as we allow the beautiful sounds of Lent soak into our souls!
